was my mother's birthday. We cooked up a turkey we had in the freezer since forever, a cake, took pictures, all that. Also, that day, after we ate, I found my mother frequently talking on the phone, often in the bathroom so no one could hear her. The worse went through my mind, but I could not pull myself to ask her if her mother was okay. See, her mom had been in the hospital in and out for a while. When mom first heard she was emitted to the hospital, she quickly got as much money as she could get to send over to the Philippines for the costs. From there, her mom had been doing fairly well for the past month or so. The doctor said to keep a close watch over her, but recently, the only people watching her were my mom's 2 teenage nieces, because her sister was staying someplace else for a few days. I don't know exactly what happened, but apparently the 2 were not keeping an eye on her.. Honestly, I never really knew my grandmother, I saw her through pictures or the dvd's that were sent when she had a birthday party. (Last year's was when she turned 84.) My mom cared so much for her, and to see her so vulnerable and depressed, completely crushes me. I'm okay personally, but I'm so worried for her.
